Akbar Law Firm, a community-focused law firm, has fought for equal representation and results for the people of Tallahassee for two decades. Now they are changing their name and expanding their mission to address the persistent disparity in legal representation for victims of wrongful injury, especially those of the minority classification.
“The fight for equality is never ending and is nothing new to me or our firm. My father, Na’im Akbar, has dedicated his life to changing the mindset around racial differences. This has permeated my life’s mission and the mission of Akbar Thomas Law Firm and our team,” said attorney Mutaqee Akbar, founder and managing partner of the firm.
With this change in focus comes the appointment of a longtime firm attorney and Akbar’s right-hand woman, Brandi Thomas, as managing partner. Akbar Law Firm is now Akbar Thomas, unveiling a new brand identity and mission.
“I am proud to advocate for the Tallahassee community and provide the representation, education, and guidance to ensure that all victims are made whole, no matter where they come from or what they look like,” said attorney Brandi Thomas, newly named managing partner of Akbar Thomas. “This new approach will allow us to serve the people who need support the most in their time of need.”
