Now they are changing their name and expanding their mission to address the persistent disparity in legal representation for victims of wrongful injury, especially those of the minority classification.

“The fight for equality is never ending and is nothing new to me or our firm. My father, Na’im Akbar, has dedicated his life to changing the mindset around racial differences. This has permeated my life’s mission and the mission of Akbar Thomas Law Firm and our team,” said attorney Mutaqee Akbar, founder and managing partner of the firm.

With this change in focus comes the appointment of a longtime firm attorney and Akbar’s right-hand woman, Brandi Thomas, as managing partner. Akbar Law Firm is now Akbar Thomas, unveiling a new brand identity and mission.
