Menn Law Firm, Ltd. traces its roots to 1926, when two young lawyers, Homer H. Benton and Alfred C. Bosser, formed a partnership. Benton and Bosser envisioned a law firm specializing in counseling and advocacy for clients to create a preeminent law firm in Appleton, with one group of lawyers concentrating on litigation and another group concentrating on business and personal legal matters.
For 40 years, Benton & Bosser’s offices were in downtown Appleton at 117 North Appleton Street. During that time, the firm included such notable attorneys as Andrew W. Parnell (future Outagamie County Judge); Edgar E. Becker.
Seeking to diversify its client base further and expand into communities outside the Fox Cities, Menn embarked on a series of affiliations, acquisitions, and strategic relationships, all of which have positioned Menn as the largest, most local, full-service law firm in northeastern Wisconsin.
